At Quince Orchard Dental Care, our practice is a complete health practice, which means that while our specialty is oral health, we consider your overall health in everything we do. A healthy mouth is part of a child’s overall health. Children need strong, healthy teeth to chew their food, speak and smile. Your child’s teeth also help give his/her face its shape while keeping space in the jaw for adult teeth. It has also been shown in various studies that healthy mouths and smiles give young people confidence in their social interactions. Below is a list of our pediatric dentistry services:

We are dedicated to giving your child an enjoyable and fun experience at the dentist. Our pediatric dentists, Dr. Lewis and Dr. Abdillahi both have extensive experience with kids of all ages and are experts at helping our little patients and their parents feel at ease. Our pediatric dentists have been practicing for many years and have some of the best reputations around. They are also open to treating patients outside of the office, regularly visit schools and nurseries as requested. Dr. Lewis, in particular, also services a number of special needs kids and patients including some kids that are too young to be treated in our office.

Our pediatric rooms are well themed and well equipped. We have TV screens mounted to the ceiling in each room to keep younger patients’ minds occupied during their appointment. In extreme situations, we provide N2O for patients who need some form of sedation to aid in the dental procedures. We can also see patients in the operating room at Shady Grove Hospital if needed. After the appointment we realize it's important to reward them for a job well done and encourage future visits, that’s why we have our prize tokens and a prize box for them to enjoy on their way home. Also, while an uncommon request, parents have the option of accompanying their child into the exam room. We encourage parents to instill a sense of independence in their children by allowing them to see our qualified and caring dentists unaccompanied, but feel free to make a special request and we will accommodate you.

Here at Quince Orchard Dental Care, we love when our young patients are cavity free and, practicing good preventative maintenance...therefore we also love to educate them. After every cleaning our patients receive a toothbrush, toothpaste and floss. Fluoride varnish and dental sealants are also available to patients as preventative measures. When it comes to younger patients, being engaging, making it fun, being attentive to their anxiety and most importantly being as gentle as possible are all cornerstones of our pediatric dentistry office. Ask around, we are a very popular office for children and we invite you to bring your family into our caring and kid friendly environment.
