DR. Rouhanian
General Dentist
Dr. M. Mehran Rouhanian received his Doctorate in Dental Surgery in 2007 from the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, University of Maryland. He completed a one-year fellowship in geriatric dentistry at the University of Maryland in 2008. Upon graduating, Dr. Rouhanian was fortunate enough to work with some great people who cared for each patient’s health and well being and not the bottom line for the practice .He is a member of the American Dental Association and Academy of General Dentistry and participates in continuing education courses to stay up to speed with advancements in the dental field. Dr. Rouhanian is also a fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI). In 2011 he opened his own practice, Quince Orchard Dental Care, with a mission to make a difference.
Dr. Rouhanian runs his practice on the principle that treating patients the right way is just as important as the dental care he provides. He developed this belief, and way of running his practice, from being fortunate enough to work with other great and respected dentists in the community like Dr. Morganstein and Dr. Plesset to name a few. People often remember the quality of the experience with their dentist. As such, Dr. Rouhanian places emphasis on how his patients are treated from the waiting room, through the entire visit.
Since then, Quince Orchard Dental Team has grown into an expert and caring group of dentists and team members. They are a family on a mission of change. Dr. Rouhanian has worked hard over the years to put together professionals who are genuinely good people, professionals who focus on precedence over people, professionals who will treat patients well no matter their income level or type of insurance.
Quince Orchard Dental Care is a full service dental practice, combining general dentistry, dental implantology, pediatric, cosmetic, orthodontic and periodontic dentistry under one roof. Their practice is a complete health practice, which means that their focus extends beyond simply providing a dental service. They are interested in the overall health of patients, and believe that certain oral indicators can predict certain systemic diseases. They take the time to educate patients about how and why they should do certain things in a simple and friendly manner.
Dr. Rouhanian’s hope is to be able to create such strong relationships with his patients that they will bring their children and grandchildren in to be cared for by their great group of doctors. His dream is that in 30 years when someone mentions Quince Orchard Dental Care, people will automatically think about a high level of quality and consistently thoughtful care. Dr. Rouhanian also believes a big part of his purpose is to improve the overall well-being of his community. He is involved in a number of charitable projects and plans to extend his reach in the coming months. Dr. Rouhanian is a member of the American Dental Association and Academy of General Dentistry and participates in continuing education courses. He is also a fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI). When not working, Dr. Rouhanian enjoys spending time with his family. He and his wife, Dr. Lewis, have two vivacious little girls, Ava and Ariana.

Dr. Brandon Lee
General Dentist
The easy-going, curious and positive Dr. Brandon Lee was born and raised in California. For his undergraduate degree, he attended Dickinson College where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology. He attended the University of Maryland School of Dentistry where he qualified for the Oral Surgery Clerkship. He then completed his one year residency at NYU Lutheran AEGD Residency - Chase Brexton Health Services. Dr. Lee is an active member of many professional associations, including American Dental Association, American Dental Education Association and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Lee joined our practice as a general dentist and was warmly welcomed as part of our family. The friendly and welcoming atmosphere was one of the main factors in his decision to join Quince Orchard Dental Care. He observed how friendly the employees were and how much they seemed to really enjoy working here as well as care for our patients. The values upheld by our practice were also shared by Dr. Lee. We are very open to listening to our patients and their concerns. We are always willing to take the time and get into detail when educating our patients, and we never try to push services on them. We want them to be educated enough to make a decision themselves with our professional guidance. We always consider and adjust to our patients’ needs and timelines when planning their care. All of these values resonated with and are shared by Dr. Lee. The rapport between Dr. Lee and Dr. Rouhanian is incredible! Always eager to expand his clinical skills, Dr. Lee is happy to work with Dr. Rouhanian and Dr. Plesset, who are very experienced, and excellent educators and mentors.
Why did Dr. Lee choose dentistry, you may ask? Well, Dr. Lee loves the fact that dentistry encompasses not only beautiful smiles, but also functional aspects of good health, such as improving speech, bite and jaw alignment. He gets great satisfaction from helping patients regain function, improve their dental health and quality of life. The nature of dentistry itself is something he finds intriguing. There is a lot of creativity and artistry involved; especially when it comes to reconstructing smiles. Reshaping someone’s smile, giving them their function and confidence back is very rewarding for him. He is able to identify with the needs of his patients --
in his younger years, he wore braces and was a jazz saxophone player. Once he got the braces, he had to adjust his mouth position in order to keep playing the instrument.
Dr. Lee considers himself a hard worker, so leisure time is equally important to him. He loves spending quality time with his wife Jie. They are both major foodies and love trying new foods. He has always been really into music; he has been playing jazz saxophone, the piano and the guitar for a number of years. You may not guess it by looking at him in his dental scrubs, but he is a very skilled fisherman. HHe and his younger brother Daniel have been fishing since 2008 and their last catch was a catfish weighed a whopping 67 pounds! Dr. Lee is a strong Christian and God has played an integral role in his life. Family is also central to his life. His mother Jill taught him to be compassionate and to be assertive. His dad Ken taught him to keep a level head. His brother Daniel and wife Jie have always supported and believed in him, which has helped him to become the person he is today. Dr. Lee also believes in the power of compassion. It allows you to understand other people, to see where they are coming from, helps you to grow and serves as the foundation for other values, such as honesty and love.
When you visit Quince Orchard Dental Care, it will be clear to you that Dr. Lee loves interacting with his patients. For him it is fun to hear about different people’s life experiences and developing relationships with them. His patients’ experience is what matters the most to him. So, if you are looking for outstanding dental services, welcoming staff and a comfortable environment, we are the practice that would love to serve you. Schedule an appointment with us here and let our family treat you like family. Dr. Lee and the rest of our team would love to have you!

Dr. Ben-Ezra
General Dentist
Quince Orchard Dental Care has added a new member to their team, and she has done nothing but add to the excellence that our practice already is. This charismatic and detail-oriented dentist is none other than Dr. Samantha Ben-Ezra. Samantha contributes her compassionate touch when dealing with each patient. If you haven’t had the pleasure of meeting her yet, take a look at this article and get to know her.
As a young girl in middle school, Dr. Ben-Ezra was determined to avoid working a desk job knowing it would limit her opportunities to utilize her hands and artistic skills. She attributes her career choice to her father, who is a chiropractor and manages his own chiropractic practice. She reminisced about seeing her dad’s patients gravitate to his warmth and kindness, while feeling comfortable enough to execute chiropractic procedures. This was something Dr. Ben-Ezra always aspired to achieve with her patients when she became a dentist. She is always eager to help people, regardless of their age and couldn’t pass up the opportunity to interact with people every day.
Dr. Ben-Ezra’s dental journey began at Penn State University where she gained her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. She jumped directly into dental school at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine in Newark, New Jersey. She continued diligently into a one-year residency at Hackensack Meridian Jersey Shore University Medical Center - Neptune, New Jersey. During her academic exploits, she participated in extracurricular programs and gained leadership experience, certifications and awards.
Moving from New Jersey to Maryland and being away from family has many downsides but locating new restaurants and exploring new sites keeps her occupied. She enjoys a good sweat during her workout sessions when she is not rendering her services to her patients. You can also find Dr. Ben-Ezra hunting for new recipes to introduce to her family’s taste buds while entertaining them for an evening of fun. Dr. Ben-Ezra even created a recipe catalog of all the scrumptious meals she has ever made. As far as values and principles go, Dr. Ben-Ezra is compassionate and is always thrilled to meet new people with her outgoing personality.
Dr. Ben-Ezra knew she made the right choice by choosing Quince Orchard Dental Care. It was refreshing to know that her values of being patient-centric aligned perfectly with ours. We are excited to have her as part of our dental team and look forward to all the wonderful things ahead. The next time you visit our practice, be sure to say hello to Dr. Ben-Ezra. Dr. Lauren Lewis
Pediatric Dentist
Dr. Lauren Lewis graduated in 2007 from the University of Maryland’s Baltimore College of Dental Surgery. She then gained some invaluable experience helping children and adults with special needs while on staff at Kernan Hospital Dental Clinic in Baltimore. In 2008, she began her residency in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Dental Medicine and received her Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry in 2010. A year later her board certification from the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry followed and fast forward to today, Dr. Lewis is also now a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Maryland Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and also the Special Care Dentistry Association.
In 2011, Dr. Lauren Lewis and her husband, Dr. Mehran Rouhanian, started the Quince Orchard Dental Care practice with a mission to make a difference. Who really is Dr. Lauren Lewis? What drives her to provide exceptional care for her little patients, foster a family environment and manage the complexities of catering to her little patients, especially those with special needs? When asked about this, Dr. Lewis spoke empathically about being of service to others as her main driving force. Her inspiration first stemmed from her childhood observations of her mom, Diane Lewis, who worked with special needs patients at a pediatric dental office. "After that, I realized how much of an impact I could have on a family who has children with special needs by just being kind and patient and providing the care for them that everyone deserves." It was then she had decided she only wanted to be a Pediatric Dentist and there was no doubt in her mind about that!
Dr. Lewis is always looking to improve on how pediatric dentistry is practiced. She implemented the 'open bay format' as part of her philosophy which is aimed at specifically improving the experience of patients by having multiple patients in the same room at the same time. She has found that her young patients tend to feel less anxious when they can see others just like them being treated. One of the most heartwarming experiences for her was when a patient who does not have special needs was sitting in a chair in the open bay next to a patient who has Autism. When the young girl saw that the boy with Autism was having a difficult time cooperating for his appointment because of his anxiety, she got up and went over to the boy, held his hand and calmed him down. This was a wonderful experience for Dr. Lewis, as well as for the parents of both of these patients. Along with the heartwarming occurrences, Dr. Lewis really feels a sense of fulfillment and reward in getting to know all of her patients personalities and seeing them grow up.
Her business approach is one that realizes that collaboration is essential to success. She strives to position her practice at Quince Orchard Dental Care as a part of the puzzle and not as a competitor with dentists in the area. She recognizes that many dental services are offered under one roof here at Quince Orchard Dental Care, she ensures that ample consideration is given to those that refer patients to her and is always looking to reciprocate.
On a personal note, Dr. Lewis enjoys spending time with her family. Her two daughters, Ava and Ariana, are quite involved in extracurricular activities including soccer, tennis, ice skating and ballet and so being a part of those activities and watching them grow is very important to her. When she's not off being a soccer mom, she gets bendy in her yoga practice and also enjoys a good game of tennis. In fact, it's a dream of hers to one day go to all four grand slam tennis tournaments. So far she has only been to the US Open and that was quite an experience!
Everyone has someone in their life whom they believe have helped shaped them into the person they are today. For Dr. Lewis, it's not just one person. Her success, not only in her practice but her life, has come from the support of her family. Her mom, her husband, and the late Dr. Morgenstein, her mentor, who she added “Quince Orchard Dental Care was modeled after”, all played significant roles in her life. Dr. Lewis believes that loyalty is one of the core values every person should have. “Staying loyal and true to people, the practice and what you stand for” is what she aims to live by every day. Those are just some of the reasons why our employees and patients adore her, as she does them! Now that you're acquainted with Dr. Lauren Lewis, be sure to bring your little loved ones by to meet her and say hi the next time you're visiting us at Quince Orchard Dental Care.

Dr. Ossob Abdillahi
Pediatric Dentist
Dr Ossob Abdillahi has created an admirable niche for herself in the dental profession. Soft-spoken with a calm and friendly disposition, Dr Abdillahi is a Pediatric Dentist who is committed to working hard to keep the smiles of kids bright and healthy. She has a reputation of making even nervous parents or scared kids leave with a positive experience after a dental visit.
Dr Abdillahi graduated in 2005 from the School of Dental Medicine at the University of Montreal, Canada. Upon graduation, she was the recipient of the Oral Biology award from the American Association of Oral Biologists. In 2006, she completed her General Practice Residency at the University of Washington. It was during her stint there where 80% of her patients were children that she realized she had discovered her calling and decided to pursue her career as a Pediatric Dentist. Her decision also stemmed from her first experience at the dentist’s office. She recalled her first visit as a child being an absolutely awful one but her second one being the total opposite, having dealt with an amazing dentist she knew she wanted to emulate. To make that dream possible, she later obtained her certification in Pediatric Dentistry from Howard University in 2012. She is also a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Maryland Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Canadian Dental Association.
Dr A (as she is fondly called) worked in various places over the years and has a very interesting work history. She described her stint in St John Newfoundland, Canada, as one that was “simply amazing”. When she was offered a chance to volunteer in Tanzania, West Africa with Dentists Without Borders, an organization affiliated with her alma mater - the University of Montreal, she did not hesitate to jump on board. She described her time there as “humbling and eye-opening”. She worked closely with some very accommodating local doctors and volunteered in an environment with limited instruments and an overwhelming need for dental care. This experience reinforced her life long desire and calling to be a dentist. It is with this plethora of insightful and life changing experiences that Dr Abdillahi is able to deal with nervous parents and children. She takes the time needed to calm the situation down, to listen and to understand before making her professional recommendations sound fun and inviting, which in turn builds necessary trust with her young patients and their parents.
As a Pediatric Dentist, Dr A alluded to the fact that a healthy mouth is part of a child’s overall health. Children need strong, healthy teeth to chew their food, speak and smile. A child’s teeth also help give his/her’s face its shape while keeping space in the jaw for adult teeth. It has also been shown in various studies that healthy mouths and smiles give young people confidence in their social interactions, and Dr A is happy that her profession allows her to play an integral role in aiding this process.
Originally from Djibouti, her father moved their family to Saudi Arabia to become an engineer. She was fortunate enough to be able to do quite a bit of travelling and visited countries such as Switzerland, the Philippines and Singapore during her summer holidays where she was introduced to different cultures and languages. With this exposure she was able to take away the ability to speak four languages fluently, employ coping skills, empathy and most importantly, perspective. Her parents instilled in her that we are all global citizens and for this Dr Abdillahi is forever grateful for her parents being her daily motivation through their drive and living by example. Dr A is passionate and fully committed to bringing all of this and much more to the practice at Quince Orchard Dental Care. She looks forward to meeting you and the apples of your eyes soon enough and welcomes you to experience the difference a worldly perspective can make.

She places a high value on the principles of family and health. Her parents led by example on that front and the value of their encouragement, was and still to this day, is simply unquantifiable.
