Quince Orchard Dental Care

Oral Surgery is the branch of our dental practice that deals with the treatment of diseases and defects of your face and jaw; including the hard and soft tissue in your mouth and head.

If you or a loved one has a tooth that is extremely damaged due to an accident or decay and cannot be repaired with a filling or a crown, a tooth extraction may be your best choice.

Our Services

Little boy at dentist

At Quince Orchard Dental Specialist, our practice is a complete health practice, which means that while our specialty is oral health, we consider your overall health in everything we do. A healthy mouth is part of a child’s overall health. Children need strong, healthy teeth to chew their food, speak and smile. Your child’s teeth also help give his/her face its shape while keeping space in the jaw for adult teeth. It has also been shown in various studies that healthy mouths and smiles give young people confidence in their social interactions. One of our pediatric dentistry services is the extraction of teeth that are damaged beyond repair.

Among various tooth types, the reasons for the extraction of baby teeth vary. Primary incisors are extracted mostly as a result of traumatic injury, dental caries and pulpal disease. Most primary molars are also extracted because of dental caries and pulpal involvement.

By working their magic, our dentists always make sure that the patient is as comfortable as they can be. We walk our young patients through the procedure by using kid-friendly terminology. Using an instrument called an ‘elevator’, our dentists loosen the tooth, and then they remove it using forceps. Most extractions of primary teeth only take a few minutes.

We are dedicated to giving your child an enjoyable and fun experience at the dentist. Our pediatric dentists, Dr. Lewis and Dr. Abdillahi both have extensive experience with kids of all ages and are experts at helping our little patients and their parents feel at ease. Our pediatric dentists have been practicing for many years and have some of the best reputations around. They are also open to treating patients outside of the office, regularly visit schools and nurseries as requested. Dr. Lewis, in particular, also services a number of special needs kids and patients including some kids that are too young to be treated in our office.

After the appointment we realize it's important to reward them for a job well done and encourage future visits, that’s why we have our prize tokens and a prize box for them to enjoy on their way home. Ask around, we are a very popular office for children and we invite you to bring your family into our caring and kid friendly environment.
