A healthy mouth is free from biofilm, oral pain, calculus (tartar), oral cancer, sensitivity to hot and cold, bad breath, decay and gum disease. At Quince Orchard Dental Care, your oral health is only as important as your overall health and dental visits and re-care appointments will ensure that you are covered on all fronts. We believe that good oral hygiene at home, combined with routine cleanings by a qualified dentist or hygienist, is vital to the prevention of gum disease and tartar buildup. We also advise that dental cleanings be routinely performed to remove plaque and tartar deposits that have built up on teeth over time. Plaque is a soft, sticky film that contains millions of bacteria.
Most insurance companies recommend scheduling a Dental Re-care appointment every 6 months, but we believe that re-care appointments should occur every 3 or 4 months and we take the time to educate you why. At these appointments, our dentists and hygienists will carefully measure and assess your teeth for its attributes using pocket-depth measurement, dental x-rays to check the supporting bone levels, interproximal cavities and buildups of tartar under the gums. It is our ultimate belief that no dental filling is the best filling to have. Prevention, therefore, is the best medicine.
Preventive Dentistry incorporates knowledge and education that equips children and adults with the techniques they need to keep teeth clean, strong and white. Having this knowledge will ensure that your teeth are healthy and strong for years to come and grants you the confidence that comes with having a bright, healthy smile. At Quince Orchard Dental Care, we strive to provide attentive consultations that allow for us to delve a little deeper and provide education about proper dental care as well as your overall health. We try to keep your wait for your appointment to a minimum, while ensuring that we don’t rush you or persons who were ahead of you. Timeliness and attentiveness are cornerstones in how we do what we do. We invite you to come in and maybe for the first time...start enjoying visits with your dentist.
